Looks like the cast of Liberty City will be under-going a makeover by Season Two.
Recurring actresses Tamara Braun and Nia Peeples will leave their respective roles of Natalie Smithson and Roxanne Stevens. We’ve also learned that Contracted Actress Nicole Forrestor will drop to a recurring status. The roles of Natalie and Roxanne are said not to be re-cast. Both roles will last up to the final episode of the season.
We have also received word that Cady McClain (Donna Roberts) has been signed to a contract role for the second season, and to appear in at least half of the episodes for the next season. The series is currently trying to cast the role of Roberts’ husband, Dean. Season Two of Liberty City is set to premiere this Fall.

Legendary Daytime actress Eileen Davidson has joined the cast in a reccuring role as the disfunction, druken mother of Leah and Cassandra Brighton. Davidson is best known for her role as Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless. She also portrayed numerous roles on Days Of Our Lives.
Eileen is the latest of Daytime actresses joining the series. Kim Zimmer (ex-Reva, GL), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki, Y&R) and Cady McClain (Rosanna, ATWT; ex-Dixie AMC) have all been announced to joining the cast. Though Eileen is the latest entry, she will be the first of the newest actresses to join the series. She will appear for a four-episode-arc, which will begin next Thursday when 1×04 premieres.

Emmy winner Cady McClain is moving into Liberty City! The actress best known for her roles as Dixie Cooney on AMC, and Rosanna Cabot on ATWT is now joining the cast of Liberty City, as character Donna Roberts, the oldest and most deceiving sibling to Logan and Jennifer Johnson who comes to town to break some shocking news to her sisters, with their mother Alecia (Melody Thomas Scott).
McClain is set to premiere in episode 1×06, and is contracted for at least three episodes, but has the possibility to be officially put on contract for any number of episodes in Season Two afterwards.

According to online rumours, two high-profiled Daytime Actors have been called forth to be added to the Liberty City storyline as a couple moving into the city to cause a stir for one current resident. This is greatly rumoured to be true after the recent hirings of recurring actresses Kim Zimmer and Melody Thomas Scott.

Well, good news! The character pages for all of the cast members/characters on Liberty City have been completed. I’m in the editing process to make sure they’re perfect, and slowly uploading them to the Characters page.
Also, the second episode of Liberty City will be out on Sunday, April 25th, 2010. This is a special episode only. All other episodes will continue to be posted on Thursday.

According to inside sources, Liberty City has infact been confirmed for renewal for a twenty-two episode second season to air this Fall, after to conclusion of the series’ first season, which returns next week and will commense this summer.
Show stars Laura Wright, Joshua Morrow, Katherine Kelly Lang, Natalie Hall and Maura West have all been confirmed to have signed contracts to appear for the full ordered set of episodes for the series. Several re-casts are rumored to be made. Also, some recurring cast members are expected to sign full-time contracts for the second season.

 - Zimmer and Thomas Scott Both Moving to the City
Looks like the rumors about Kim Zimmer and Melody Thomas Scott joining Liberty City are true!
Zimmer has been hired to play Susan Smithson, mother to Dustin, Daniel and Natalie Smithson. Thomas Scott has been hired to play Alecia Johnson, mother to Logan and Jennifer Johnson.
Both ladies are to debut in their roles before the end of Season One.
